How Ed Has Helped Optimize Business Performance
- AI implementation – Led a company-wide investigation into potential AI implementations and determined areas of application for a commercial construction company. Selected a group of 20 people across multiple departments to prove AI efficacy. Created AI protocols and selected tools to help the organization successfully integrate AI technologies to drive efficiency, improve project quality, and track KPIs.
- IT transformation – As CIO for $250M global manufacturing company with offices in China, Mexico, and the US, developed and implemented a 3-Year IT Roadmap and Strategy. This included the implementation of a global PDM system to improve the quality and efficiency of engineering document control and the automation of tasks between SAP systems using a middle-ware tool. The new IT alignment saved over 200 hours per month in manual processing for Finance Business Operations.
- Risk mitigation – As the Head of Technology Risk Management function for a global 1800-person F100 FinTech organization, developed critical operational risk metrics, established a BCP/DR oversight program, and increased operational maturity across risk, compliance, controls life-cycle management, and risk portfolio management processes. Significantly improved security, mitigating risk, driving customer trust and retention.
- Organizational transformation – Through focused leadership, led the transformation and cost optimization of a global technology service delivery organization. Was accountable for all components of the technology suite, including 160,000 desktops globally. Eliminated over $10M in annualized hosting infrastructure expense. Improved SLAs for critical business applications from 96.5% to 99%, improved technical support call center performance from 45% to 80%, improved answer rate from 86% to 94%, and overall client satisfaction jumped to 93%.
